Associate Spotlight - Aung

Aung Sanaye

Meet our senior technician, Aung Sanaye, who has been with us for 11 years. Originally from Myanmar, Aung's journey to be a part of our team has been a remarkable one, spanning many miles. In this interview, he shares with us his zero-to-hero story on being an expert in the M200 welding machine servicing and training. He also tells us the many other things he does at Swagelok Singapore to keep the business running smoothly. 

In 2012, he was recommended by a friend to join Swagelok Singapore. Despite having little knowledge and experience, but armed with an Electrical Engineering degree, he decided to give it a go and came onboard. A typical day for Aung involves a range of responsibilities, from tube fitting installation, assembly of panels, pressure leak testing and M200 welding machine servicing and training. However, his primary focus is servicing the M200 welding machine and providing essential training to our valued customers.

Aung is grateful for the good working environment here and the friendly and helpful colleagues he has who are constantly supporting him to get through challenges at work. He spends a lot of time enjoying the work that he does because of the people surrounding him. It is no wonder he has stayed with us for 11 years! His biggest achievement is learning about the tube bending, panel assembly, orbital M200 machine servicing and training. This expertise allows him to skillfully train customers and guide them through their fluid system challenges. We are immensely proud of Aung's growth.

Aung’s friends and family would describe him as responsible, caring, and helpful. He aspired to start his own business selling electrical components if he had not pursued a career at Swagelok. During his free time, he enjoys watching movies and shows on Netflix, listening to music and having heartfelt conversationswith friends. His aspirations extend beyond personal fulfillment; he hopes to support his parents and family when he eventually returns to Myanmar.
